“Providing Modern Healthcare in Frontier Texas”
REEVES COUNTY HOSPITAL
Reeves County Hospital District is a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital located in Pecos, Texas and serves Reeves County as well as the surrounding counties of Ward, Loving, Culberson, Jeff Davis, Pecos, and Presidio.
Located in far West Texas with both the I-10 and I-20 corridors and two other state highways running through our county, Reeves County Hospital District often is the golden hour health care facility where patients may be brought when involved in any type of trauma to assess, stabilize and treat and, if needed, then transfer to a higher level of care facility. Transfers are by ground, helicopter, or fixed wing aircraft.
In 2011, the Hospital District opened the new 19,546 square feet Pecos Valley Rural Health Clinic. The clinic includes twelve offices, thirty-six exam rooms, and has 12 providers located in the clinic including an OB/GYN, surgeon, nephrologist, four family practice/OB physicians, two physician assistants and three nurse practitioners.
The Dialysis Facility was built to relieve the burden of travel local dialysis patients were enduring for their life-saving treatments three times per week. Staffed with a full time Nephrologist we are the only dialysis facility between Odessa/Midland and El Paso and have patients from as far away as two hundred miles (Presidio) coming to our facility.
The Radiology Department is fully digital, includes our CAT scan and ultrasound machines and our latest purchase is the newest and most advanced digital mammography machine in the Permian Basin.
The Physical Therapy Department has excellent outcomes in the rehabilitation arena and also provides a superb wound care program.
The inpatient swing bed program enables patients to stay in the hospital longer when they need further inpatient rehab time for strengthening and/or balance after hip replacement or surgery, or additional time for services such as extended IV antibiotics.
Other services offered include acute care, intensive care, full range laboratory department, labor and delivery, general and laparoscopic surgery, respiratory therapy, medication program, master level registered dietician and social worker, a certified diabetes education program, Specialty Clinic, and a Level IV Trauma Emergency Department.
